Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-08-09
Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. This page explains the position at Chairscape and the routes available.
What Triggers This Right
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never have. What can happen is narrower: where advertising is served on this site, advertising cookies and device identifiers may be made available to advertising partners. The statutory definitions of ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ are wide enough to capture that arrangement, so we treat it as opt-out-able rather than argue about the label. The opt-out covers all visitors to chairscape.com, including readers interested in Chairscape who simply read an article and leave.
After You Opt Out
The practical result: identifiers stop going to advertising partners, ads become generic rather than personalised, and nothing else differs. You keep full access to the site and we do not treat opted-out readers differently.
Turning This Off
The quickest route needs no message from you at all: enable Global Privacy Control in your browser or as an extension. We detect and honour that signal automatically on every visit. Alternatively, set your preference in the cookie consent banner where one is shown, or email hello@chairscape.com with ‘Do Not Sell or Share’ as the subject line. No account is needed, and we do not require you to create one.
Full detail on state privacy rights, including access and deletion, is in our State Privacy Notice.
